I am so sick of that same question.

I know I am always overdressed for where I live. I don't care. I am not going to dress in jeans a t-shirt and sneakers all the time. I like to wear dresses and heels. Not just dresses, but nice quality dresses and gorgeous 5" Platforms. Today I wore a purple Herve' Le'ger LKE dress with some Glint shoes. What I hate is that I always get the question "How do you walk in those?" or "You will regret wearing those when you get older". What they don't know and I don't know why I always feel the need to let them know is 15 years ago I hurt my ankles. I was supposed to wear a brace on my ankles until they healed. I didn't want to wear those ugly things and even while in pain I would wear high heels. After time went by my ankles healed but they healed incorrectly since I was always in heels. The tendon heeled short since my ankle was in the upward position. So when I wear flats my heels and tendons hurt something awful. So when people say how do you walk in those, I think the same thing. How do you walk in those flip flops? Ugh. I don't like flip flops or sweats but I don't go around commenting on it. You like what you like, I like what I like. Remember we are all different. We all have our own thoughts and opinions. I'll keep mine, you keep yours.

I wish I had remembered the sunblock

So this Sunday Mr.Man and kid 2 wanted to go fishing again. I was iffy on going but I decided to tag along and make it a family outing. I wore some Capri shorts and a thin cotton long sleeve shirt. I coated my face with sunblock and wore a big sun hat. I was ready. I forgot about my exposed legs.

I now have red legs. Well half. They hurt bad.

Today I needed to run a couple errands. I wore a light weight grey ruffled dress. I wore it with a wide cobalt blue cinch belt and the blue shoes I got on Friday.

I was watching the news and found out that Billy Mays had passed away as well. It reminded me that I have yet to use that sliders thingajingy that my kids convinced me to purchase some time back. (Not sold in stores, Ha ha funny) So we got some ground beef and gave it a test run. Either the beef we used was way too lean or? but those things were a flashback to that old Wendy's commercial "Where's the beef?" The little rolls we bought were huge in comparison to the little cooked patties. I doubt we will be using it again. Hmm I just got an idea, I can use it to make spaghetti and meatballs. ; )

Ow, Ow, Ow.......

Well right now I am on the couch in pain. I ache everywhere. Every muscle, every bone, every part of me. However, my yard looks nice again.

We had let our yard go. All of us too damn lazy to pull a weed. They got really strict with water usage here and Mr.Man cut the watering schedule back too much and all our plants died (but of course not the weeds. Somehow they thrive and survive.). Our back yard is full of dead grass now.

So we reset the watering and today I decided it was time to get to work. I had to make three trips to the nursery to pick plants up. Kid 2 was the only one to really help me. Squishy pretended to help. Often mysteriously disappearing. Kid 1 decided he would rather clean the house than step foot outside. So I put him to work indoors.

We began our work around 10 AM and we walked indoors at 8:40pm. Our only breaks were when we went to the nursery and we took a one hour break at 3pm. But our front yard is finished and looks beautiful! Hopefully it stays that way.

Off to take a bath I go.

Yay more shoes!!

Well, today I wanted to buy shoes. Pretty pretty shoes. So after squishy got out of school (today was his last day of school) we made the 45 minute to one hour drive to BeBe's. Yup, that's how far they are in either direction. We made a pit stop at a gottchalks (sp?) that was en route. They are all closing down and I wanted to see what kind of fixtures I could get. I have bought several items from the one in town but I was looking for something in particular. However this one is on its last three days so they were wiped out. I left empty handed. Actually I lie, I did get Mr. Man two pairs of decent jeans that he could use on his many fishing trips. I spent a total of $17 for two pairs. Not bad.
When we finally got to Bebe's I had to park out in the free parking lot. I didn't have any change so I couldn't park at the metered parking. I was mad at myself. I hate parking all the way out there. This was only the second time I have ever done so but never again. I am going to fill the little coin thingie in my car with quarters just for this.
I went in looking for certain shoes I wanted. However they didn't have them. I was really bummed. I did find three pairs that caught my eye and lucky for me they had my size. Other than my Iman (yup, I found them at in gunmetal, black and in purple. Now I just need them in red.) sandals, I was kind of bumming it today. I had on some lucky skinny jeans with a black lace Victorian top. My hair was hastily pulled back in a pony tail as the wind was whipping my hair all over the place on the drive out there. I notice the difference in service at this particular Bebe's if you come in looking "sloppy". I was ignored completely! I had to flag someone down just to get the shoes in my size. It really pisses me off. At the other two locations I frequent they are always super friendly and helpful. I always have a good experience at those locations. That is why I rarely go to this one but I just went to one of the other ones on Sat. so I wanted to see what this one had in stock. But after today I might Bypass this location for a while.
After that I went to Bakers Shoes. They know me there and my son thinks it's funny how the sales girls scramble to get to me first. There they had several shoes I liked and I walked out with eight pairs. Joy!! They have some knockoff Imans in Turquoise, white and black. They don't have the suede heel like the gucci's but they are nice. I ended up getting them in all three colors. I wanted to keep shopping but we had too many bags to carry so we went to the car to put them away. By the time we got there, the boys were whining that they were starving and quite frankly I really didn't want to make the long walk back to the stores so we decided to jump in the car and head for a restaurant. After we ate, we made our drive home. It took us more than an hour to get home due to traffic but I was happy with all my new shoes. Yay.

Finally some shopping.

Well this morning I finally decided to go out shopping. I have been dying to do so for a while. Call it shoppers withdrawal. Well, after I finished getting ready in a lovely Express pencil skirt with a beautiful emerald green satin top and BeBe Amaya heels, I heard on the morning news that Farrah had lost her fight with cancer. That's sad. I have lost many close ones to that awful disease.

I got my shopping fix as I came home with five new dresses and a bit of jewelery. Yay. I think tommorrow I will do some more. Anyways while shopping I overheard a conversation where they said that Micheal Jackson had also passed. Wow. I kind of expected it. I am hooked on TMZ and they kept showing him visiting a dr's office.

Once home I put my goodies away. I then had to go back out to go to Costco. I hate going there because they don't have one near my house. I have to go quite some distance to get to one. I made my purchases then headed home again. Once everything had been put away it was now time to make dinner.

Dinner came out yummy and now it's time to get ready for bed.

Not what I had planned

Today I had planned to go out and have some fun shopping. However I had forgotten that The repair man was scheduled to come today to look at my evil Cabrio washer. I hate this washer. I miss my old washer. Mr. Man says we have to deal with it. I had wanted this washer so bad when it came out that we got rid of our other set that was only a few months old to get these. So Mr. man won't let me buy a new set. Ugh.

Well like always they give you a four hour window. So I had to stick around all morning. They then call to say they are running late and they give me a new four hour time frame. So my whole day was ruined. Mr man and kid 2 went fishing just as they had planned. I don't expect them home until really late since they don't leave until it gets dark.

Oh well.

It's been so long....

Wow, it's been over a month since I last wrote. This was a busy month. I went to Disneyland 3 times and several award ceremonies. There was also a funeral and a bridal shower. Oh and lets not forget the mountains and fishing. Hard to believe that even with all that I was still able to do lots of fun shopping.

The older two boys are on vacation already. Squishy has a few more days to go. Next year will be better. All three boys will be attending an academy so they will have the same schedule. I had been trying to get them in there for a long time and they finally got in. Hallelujah! No more public schools.

Mr. Man is on his last day of vacation tommorrow. He wants to go back up to the mountains to do some fishing. I however do not. So he'll be going without me and the two boys who also don't want to go. I have other plans.
